Our story

Welcome to Blumenhaus — I'm so glad you're here!
I'm Katie, a floral designer based in the Cincinnati area with a deep love for all things flowers (obviously!). There's nothing better than seeing someone’s face light up when they receive a thoughtfully crafted arrangement, and that's the heart behind everything I do.

My journey with flowers began in 2019 at a beloved local shop, Adrian Durban Florist. I was lucky to learn from some of the best designers in the business — my amazing "flower sisters." Just before I celebrated my one-year anniversary there, we had to close our doors in March 2020 due to COVID.

Not long after, I found a new home at The Marmalade Lily — a beautiful wedding venue and flower farm — where I spent the next three years designing wedding florals and loving every moment of it.

Now, in 2024, I'm thrilled to be opening my very own flower shop: Blumenhaus. This dream has been five years in the making, and I couldn't have done it without the love and support of my incredible husband, family, friends, and coworkers.

I'm so excited to share all the flowery goodness with you. Whether you're celebrating something big or just want to brighten your day, I'm here to help make it beautiful.
